United by Our Passion

Our story begins on a rural farm in the Appalachian region of Southeastern Ohio. Operated by the husband-and-wife team, Amy and Ernie Fry, Killing Tree Winery and Restaurant was created out of a love of wine and community. The beautiful, hand-crafted winery is set in the countryside of Ohio overlooking the peaceful, rolling hills of the Appalachian Plateau. Customers are all warmly welcomed and made to feel like friends and family. Enjoy tasting all the wines year-round from our deck or sit by the fire pits and listen to our live music perform from our unique Refurbished Grain bin Stage.

Ernie, a craftsman in construction, woodworking and winemaking, has been working to perfect his winemaking skills for over 15 years. His wife, Amy, practiced as a nurse since 1997 where she learned the value of connecting to families and making sure they are comfortable and listened to. The couple developed a love of wine and wineries during their years of visiting wineries throughout Ohio. The drive to create a place for people to enjoy wine where they could relax and enjoy friends, old and new came to life in 2020 when they broke ground for the winery. Ernie loves the ability to be creative and work to perfect each wine variety that he makes. Bartending allows Amy to get to know all the visitors and expand their winery family. Together they welcome you to try their expansive and every growing list of wines from Dry to Sweet, Fruit to Dessert and everything in-between.
